Thrones, teams, and teasers
Get a sneak peek at what’s coming in Book 2
Hello there!
Book 2 of the Objective 164 Saga is officially in the works—40,000 words down and going strong 💪 So I thought it was time to share what I’ve been working on lately and give you a few tasty teasers about what’s coming for Nylah and the crew.
Let’s start with the fun part:
✨ Teaser #1 – The frenzied city
I’ve been building a new city Nylah will visit in Book 2. One cloaked in frequent fog and gripped by magical frenzy every full moon.
Its name? Saker’s Coast—home to the legendary Shell Keep and its eerie Skull Throne.
Here’s a map I created while writing to help picture the setting.
Did you spot any clues about who rules this strange city? If so, hit reply—I’d love to hear your theories.
✨ Teaser #2 – Meet the Grand Champions
This book will also introduce you to the Grand Champions of Warshingal—a seven-member juggernaut like no other:
Warlord / Barbarian
Monk / Priest
Beastman / Skald
Blackguard / Necromancer
Shadow / Gunslinger
Elementalist / Druid
Scout / Artificer
Think they can take on Nylah and her crew?
You can read about the classes on my website if you’re curious, or find out where you fit in Verindale by taking the Character class quiz.
✨ Teaser #3 – A Familiar Face Returns...
If you’ve read “Players,” you’ll be seeing someone you know in Book 2.
Will it be Arista? Rahul? Zael?
I can’t say just yet—but whoever it is, they’re going to play a vital role in the journey ahead… especially when they meet our Dragoon Bard 😉
⚙️ What I’ve Been Up To
Most of my time has gone into the first draft of Book 2 (working title still under wraps for now!). I've also been experimenting with voice work as I prepare to bring “Gamebound” to life in audiobook form—but finishing Book 2 is my top priority.
And yes… the release is definitely on track for later this year 👀
Thanks again for being here! I hope these teasers have sparked some curiosity about what’s coming. I’ll be dropping more sneak peeks and updates in future newsletters—so stay tuned!
Until next time,
Lou
